 Piano and Suzuki Violin Studio
 Located in Holland, Michigan

My primary goals when working with students are that they experience mastery, excellence, and joy in music study. New concepts are presented in developmentally appropriate and systematic ways, resulting in the presence of technical ease, musical fluency, and meaningful expression throughout all stages of learning.

In addition to more than twenty years of private teaching experience, I have directed graded children's choir programs and have worked as a church musician, vocal soloist, and orchestral musician. A graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy (horn, voice) and St. Olaf College (voice, horn, organ), I have Bachelor of Music degrees in Church Music and Music Education. I also have post-graduate training in Montessori, Orff, Dalcroze, and the Suzuki Method. I am a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, the Music Teachers National Association, the Michigan Piano Teachers Association, and the Holland Piano Teachers Forum.

*I partner with Hamilton Community Schools Project Based Learning program and currently have openings for piano students who are available during school hours.
