Amy Kate Petersen, Private Music Instructor
Preschool Partner Piano

Elementary through Intermediate Piano

Suzuki Violin

 Piano and Suzuki Violin Studio
 Located in Holland, Michigan

My primary goal for students is that they experience mastery, excellence, and joy in music study. These traits, along with technical musicianship skills, are developed throughout all stages of learning. New concepts are presented in developmentally appropriate and systematic ways, which results in technical ease, musical fluency, and meaningful expression.

In addition to twenty years of private teaching experience, I have conducted graded children's choir programs and worked as a church musician, vocal soloist, and orchestral musician. As a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy (horn, voice) and St. Olaf College (voice, horn, organ), I have Bachelor of Music degrees in Church Music and Music Education. I have post-graduate training in Montessori, Orff, Dalcroze, and the Suzuki Method. I am a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, the Music Teachers National Association, the Michigan Piano Teachers Association, and the Holland Piano Teachers Forum.
